Rybník Rožmberk

Rybník Rožmberk vybudoval v letech 1584 - 1590 Jakub Krcín. Hráz je dlouhá 2,4 km, a u paty je široká až 55m. Hladina rybníka má plochu 490 ha.

South Bohemian Region – Ceske Budejovice is often referred to simply as Budweis in English. The city is the centre of valley of the Vltava River where the Vltava meets the Malse river. In 1265 Bohemian King Premysl Otakar II chose the confluence of the rivers to found the city in order to strenghten his position of power in South Bohemia. Ceske Budejovice is considered to be the largest city in the South Bohemian Region nowadays. It is very attractive destination for the tourists and it provides a lot of possibilities for accommodation.
